1. Welcome to Mini Pocket

Mini Pocket ("we", "us", "the app") is a personal-finance coaching tool that helps you set savings goals, track expenses, save in jars, join savings circles with friends, and get tips from an AI coach (Kojo). By creating an account you agree to these terms.

2. Who can use Mini Pocket

You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your country) and able to enter a binding contract. You're responsible for keeping your sign-in details safe. Don't share your account with others.

3. What Mini Pocket is — and isn't

Mini Pocket is a budgeting and goal-setting tool. It is not a bank, money-transfer service, or financial advisor. Balances shown in jars represent your own records of money you've chosen to set aside. Mobile Money transfers (MTN MoMo, Airtel Money) are processed by those third-party providers — Mini Pocket only initiates the request on your instruction.

4. Mobile Money transactions

  • You authorise each transaction by approving the prompt on your phone.
  • Deposits typically reflect within a few minutes.
  • Withdrawals to your Mobile Money wallet usually take between 24 and 72 hours, depending on provider traffic.
  • Mini Pocket isn't liable for delays, failures, or charges imposed by your Mobile Money provider.

5. Savings circles

When you create or join a circle, contributions are visible to other members for transparency. The group owner can set rules (contribution amount, frequency, minimum reputation score). If you leave a circle, any contributions you made are moved to an "Unaccounted" slot so you can reallocate or withdraw them — they are never lost.

6. AI coach (Kojo)

Kojo gives suggestions based on your activity. Treat these as friendly nudges, not professional financial advice. Always use your own judgement before acting on a recommendation.

7. Your responsibilities

  • Provide accurate information.
  • Don't use Mini Pocket for illegal activity, money laundering, or fraud.
  • Don't try to break, scrape, or reverse-engineer the app.
  • Don't impersonate others or harass members in a savings circle.

8. Closing your account

You can delete your account at any time from Profile → Edit profile → Delete account. This removes your data permanently. If you have an open Mobile Money withdrawal in progress, allow it to settle before deleting.

9. Service availability

We aim to keep Mini Pocket running smoothly, but we don't guarantee uninterrupted service. Features may change, be paused, or be retired with notice.

10. Liability

To the extent allowed by law, Mini Pocket isn't liable for indirect losses, lost profits, or losses caused by third-party Mobile Money providers. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the fees you have paid us (if any) in the 12 months before the claim.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms occasionally. If changes are material, we'll let you know in the app. Continuing to use Mini Pocket after an update means you accept the new terms.
